$250,000 in Model Classroom Grants Available to K-12 SchoolsFebruary 1, 2018
Today’s students are learning in ways never imagined and classrooms are changing to support these new ways of learning. OceanFirst Foundation’s Model Classroom Grant program is designed for schools that want to tap into their vision to create a classroom for the future. In previous cycles of this popular grant program, we’ve funded outdoor classrooms, S.T.E.A.M. labs, Makerspaces, digital photography, and vocational classrooms to name just a few. There’s no limit to the creativity and cutting edge work being done by our school grantees.
In 2018, the Foundation will award twenty-five grants of $10,000 each – $250,000 in total – to public and tax-exempt (501c3) schools interested in developing a Model Classroom for learning. We’re going to select the best proposals from schools in the OceanFirst Bank footprint – Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Monmouth, and Ocean counties – and provide them with the resources to transform a classroom in the 2018-2019 school year.
To learn more about this opportunity, the evaluation process used to select grant recipients, and to get tips on preparing a grant application, join us on March 13th or March 14th at an Model Classroom Grant information session. Schools are not required to attend an information session to apply. The Model Classroom Grant online application will be available March 1, 2018 and the deadline to apply is May 1, 2018.
