OceanFirst Foundation has a strong commitment to helping our neighbors build their self-sufficiency and we know that sometimes needs can be met with just a little bit of help from community partners. The Good Neighbor Grant Program provides grants of up to $5,000 for community and volunteer driven projects with a broad benefit and up to $3,500 for special event sponsorship. Good Neighbor Grants are available to nonprofits in the OceanFirst Bank footprint. Requests are considered on a rolling basis and a two month lead time is strongly recommended.
If your organization is interested in applying for a Good Neighbor Grant there are three simple steps to follow:
- Call the Foundation office at (732) 341-4676 to discuss your special event, program or project. We’ll advise you on whether your request fits within our guidelines.
- If the Foundation is interested in considering your organization’s request, you will be asked to send a copy of the program information or event brochure/sponsorship information to the Foundation office. Be sure that it includes all pertinent information including the purpose of the event, the date and location, a point of contact with a daytime phone number and email address. You’ll also need to let us know if you require an OceanFirst ad or logo and what size and format is preferred.
- If your Good Neighbor Grant is approved, we’ll provide you with an online grant application to complete and submit.
Then you’re on the way to receiving a grant!
