Good Neighbor Grants

OceanFirst Foundation has a strong commitment to helping our neighbors build their self-sufficiency and we know that sometimes needs can be met with just a little bit of help from community partners. The Good Neighbor Grant Program provides grants of up to $5,000 for community and volunteer driven projects with a broad benefit and up to $3,500 for special event sponsorship. Good Neighbor Grants are available to nonprofits in the OceanFirst Bank footprint. Requests are considered on a rolling basis and a two month lead time is strongly recommended.

If your organization is interested in applying for a Good Neighbor Grant there are three simple steps to follow:

  1. Call the Foundation office at (732) 341-4676 to discuss your special event, program or project. We’ll advise you on whether your request fits within our guidelines.
  2. If the Foundation is interested in considering your organization’s request, you will be asked to send a copy of the program information or event brochure/sponsorship information to the Foundation office. Be sure that it includes all pertinent information including the purpose of the event, the date and location, a point of contact with a daytime phone number and email address.  You’ll also need to let us know if you require an OceanFirst ad or logo and what size and format is preferred.
  3. If your Good Neighbor Grant is approved, we’ll provide you with an online grant application to complete and submit.

Then you’re on the way to receiving a grant!
