$50,000 in "Go Green" School Grants Awarded
OceanFirst Foundation is pleased to announce $50,000 in grants to twenty local schools. Each school will receive $2,500 to be used for special programs and projects that empower students to think about being good global citizens, greening their school and community and ensuring that adequate clean and healthy resources exist for future generations.
The sixteen elementary schools selected to receive grants are: Brick Community Primary Learning Center, Brick; Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Elementary School, New Egypt; Eagleswood Elementary School, West Creek; East Dover Elementary School, Toms River; Ethel Jacobsen Elementary School, Surf City; Forked River Elementary School, Forked River; Frog Pond Elementary School, Little Egg Harbor; H&M Potter School, Bayville; Herbertsville Elementary School, Brick; Joseph T. Donahue Elementary School, Barnegat; Mill Pond School, Lanoka Harbor; Nellie F. Bennett Elementary School, Point Pleasant; New Egypt Primary School, New Egypt; Saint Peter School, Point Pleasant; Walnut Street Elementary School, Toms River and West Freehold Elementary School, Freehold.
The two middles schools selected to receive grants are Memorial Middle School, Point Pleasant and Veterans Memorial Middle School, Brick.
The two high schools selected to receive grants are New Egypt High School, New Egypt and the Ocean County Vocational Technical School Jackson Center.
