DESCRIPTION:Christian Caring Center – MLK Day Outreach & Nourishment Service Opportunity \n\nJoin the Christian Caring Center as they expand their outreach operations in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. This hands-on volunteer experience directly supports vulnerable neighbors during the critical “Code Blue” winter season through pantry assistance\, meal preparation\, and community outreach. \nVolunteer activities include: \n\nFilling food boxes\, assisting clients\, and restocking pantry shelves\nPreparing and serving hot meals for the community lunch program and afternoon outreach\nCleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dining areas\nLoading outreach vehicles with meals\, food boxes\, and care packages\nJoining the outreach team to deliver essential items to two homeless encampments and two local hotels—offering encouragement\, connection\, and hope\n\nImportant: Volunteers must also complete registration with Hunger Free America.
