Meet OceanFirst’s WaveMaker of the Month – Joanna Quinn

We’re pleased to highlight our OceanFirst Bank colleagues who are making a difference with the Foundation’s nonprofit partners – we call them the “WaveMakers” and they’re extraordinary leaders and volunteers.

How long have you been a member of the OceanFirst Bank team? 

I have been with the bank for 21 years. I am currently a Digital Banking Supervisor.

What has been your favorite volunteer activity – and why?  

I am heavily involved with American Legion Post 321. I love volunteering with the Legion because the organization is dedicated to helping veterans & their families.

What has volunteering taught you? 

Volunteering with the Legion has given me a whole new community of friends & has taught me that we need to look after our veterans who ensure our freedoms.

What Disney character are you most alike? 

Belle from Beauty & the Beast. Belle is a reader & I love to read as well.

What songs represents your life? 

I did it My Way by Frank Sinatra

What was the last book you read?

The Women by Kristen Hannah. The book is incredibly moving & gives a woman’s perspective of the Vietnam War.

Do you sing in the shower? In the car?  

I sing anywhere, anytime.

What is the last TV show you binged and what review would you give it? 

The Bear. Deeply intriguing & really makes you think about how our lives turn out the way they do.
