Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space – Community Conservation Conference

April 18 @ 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

We’re excited to share an upcoming event from Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space (FoHVOS): their first-ever Community Conservation Conference, happening on Saturday, April 18. This inspirational, half-day conference is designed for homeowners and community members who are interested in—and committed to—restoring habitat right at home.

The conference will feature Doug Tallamy, founder of the Homegrown National Park® movement, as the keynote speaker. His groundbreaking work has inspired thousands of people nationwide to transform their yards into thriving ecosystems that support wildlife. Attendees can also look forward to expert-led presentations, engaging exhibitors, and a wealth of practical resources and ideas to help turn inspiration into action.

FoHVOS has been a leader in community-based conservation for more than 20 years, partnering with homeowners to “bring nature home” through guidance, education, and access to native plants. This conference marks the launch of a revitalized Community Conservation program, offering expanded education, hands-on how‑to resources, and new opportunities for meaningful stewardship.
