Summer Camp Grants

Summer will be here before you know and we’ll be partnering with some of the very best nonprofits in our footprint to provide $75,000 in Summer Camp Scholarships. If your nonprofit is a camp provider, this program is for you! We’re especially interested in camps that offer safe and nurturing activities like arts education, science, leadership development, and civic engagement.
Who May Apply
We consider requests for Summer Camp Grants from nonprofits (501c3) that can demonstrate a significant level of service and impact within OceanFirst Foundation’s New Jersey footprint – Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset, and Union counties. Applicants from outside this footprint must contact the Foundation to be screened for eligibility prior to submitting a request. Additional grant eligibility requirements may be found here.
New Applicants
Inquiries to the Foundation are welcome and nonprofits that have not previously been included in the Summer Camp Grant program should call 732.341.4676 to be screened before applying.
Grant Deadline
There is only one opportunity to apply for the Summer Camp Grant program. Please plan ahead – the deadline to apply is April 1, 2025 and we do not consider requests submitted after the deadline.
Grant Awards
Organizations selected to receive Summer Camp Grants must agree to use funds awarded to provide direct camp scholarships of up to $250 per child to cover the cost of a camp experience. A Use of Funds report documenting scholarship recipients and program impact will be required at the conclusion of the grant period.
Application Status
Organizations that submit an application by the deadline will be notified of the decision on their request in advance of the 2025 camp season and no later than May 1, 2025.
2025 Application Process
The application portal is now closed. Please refer to the deadline noted above.
