WaveMakers Unite for CommUNITYFirst Day: Four Years of Powerful Impact and Growing Strong
On September 26, 2025, OceanFirst Bank’s CommUNITYFirst Day brought together more than 700 dedicated WaveMakers – from Boston to Baltimore – to create lasting community impact. Now in its fourth year, this signature day of service has evolved into a remarkable movement of collaboration, compassion, and collective action.
A Day of Service That’s Become a Movement
What began as a single day of volunteering has transformed into a powerful annual tradition rooted in community strength and shared purpose. In 2025, OceanFirst Bank’s WaveMakers partnered with 24 outstanding nonprofits, each working to improve the lives of children, families, and neighbors across our footprint.
This year’s enhanced volunteer structure connected larger groups with high‑impact projects, including:
- Revitalizing public parks, community centers, and shared spaces
- Supporting essential programs serving vulnerable populations
- Providing hands‑on help to nonprofits that uplift and empower local residents
These efforts didn’t just meet immediate needs—they created ripple effects of positive change that will benefit communities long after the day has passed.
