Trunk -or- Treat 10.26.23

Ghosts, princesses, and pirates enjoyed OceanFirst’s “Candy-Coated” Trunk-or-Treat events in October.

Youth supported by local nonprofits that serve low-moderate income families, recently were invited to participate in trunk or treat events at two Jersey Shore locations – Toms River and Egg Harbor Township. As part of this fun family event, more than 2,500 youth received new warm winter coats through our partnership with Operation Warm. Youth were encouraged to dress in their Halloween best! Fan favorite costumes included the Bridge of Books Fairies and the Hocus Pocus Sanderson Sisters from OceanFirst Bank’s Egg Harbor Township branch team!

Special thanks our generous funding partners – Community Foundation of South Jersey,  Dr. Robert Previti, The Citta Foundation, and The Grunin Foundation who helped us to boost the number of coats distributed and our community partners who provided parents and caregivers with information about community-based supportive resources and programs.

“Candy-Coated” Trunk or Treat 2024 will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at P.A.L. of Egg Harbor Township and Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at OceanFirst Bank Headquarters in Toms River. To learn more about how your nonprofit or community organization can participate, contact Julie Bellezza, Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator.
