$200,000 in Grants to Local Colleges and Universities to Help the Class of 2010
Is your son or daughter graduating from high school and heading off to college in the fall? Well, here's a bit of good news that might help to pay for all those school expenses like tuition, fees and books. OceanFirst Foundation has just announced $200,000 in grants to Brookdale Community College, Georgian Court University, Monmouth University and Ocean County College for scholarships that will help high school graduates from the Jersey Shore area pursue higher education.
Each school will award $50,000 in scholarships to incoming full-time freshmen for the fall semester of 2010. Scholarship recipients at Brookdale Community College and Ocean County College will receive $1,000 awards and at Georgian Court University and Monmouth University scholarship recipients will receive $2,500 awards.
